Marie Capet was born in 1145 in France.1 Marie Capet's father was Louis VII Capet le Jeune King of France and her mother was Eleanor de Aquitaine Dss de Aquitaine. Her paternal grandparents were Louis VI Capet le Gros King of France and Adelaide (Alix) de Maurienne; her maternal grandparents were Guillaume X le Toulousan Duc de Aquitaine and Eleanor (Aenor) de Chastellerault. She had two sisters named Agnes Capet and Alix. She had seven half-brothers and six half-sisters, named Philippe II Capet Augustus, Thomas, William, Richard I the Lionheart, Geoffrey, John Lackland Plantagenet, Henry, Marguerite, Alice Capet, Agnes, Maud Matilda, Alianor and Joan. She died at the age of 53 in 1198.1 -
