Bernhard II of Saxony Duke of Saxony

Bernhard II of Saxony was born in 1002 in Luneburg, Saxony.¹   Bernhard II of Saxony's father was Bernhard I of Saxony Duke of Saxony and his mother was Hildegarde von Stade.  His paternal grandparents were Hermann Billung Duke of Saxony and Hildegardis (von Saxony); his maternal grandparents were Henreich I von Stade Ct de Stade and Judith (von Stade).  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 57 on June 29th, 1059.¹
