Euphemia A was born in 1855 in Masontown, Fayette, PA.1 Euphemia A's father was John Alexander Province and her mother was Euphemia Thompson. Her paternal grandparents were David Province and Agnes Hartley. She had five brothers and three sisters, named George Neff, Thomas T, John Alexander, David Jefferson, William M, Elizabeth A, Charity Ann and Hannah Louisa. She was the third youngest of the nine children. She had a half-brother named Charles Alexander.-
