Jeremiah was born on November 17th, 1656 in Portsmouth, Newport, RI.1 Jeremiah's father was Richard Pearce and his mother was Susannah Wright. His paternal grandparents were Richard Pearse and Martha Pearce; his maternal grandfather was George Wright. He had eight brothers and three sisters, named Nehemiah, Richard, John, Giles, Isaac, William, George, Samuel, Martha, Susannah and Mary. He was the fifth youngest of the twelve children.-
