Richard was born in 1615 in Bristol, England and his baptism took place in 1620 in Waltham Abbey, Essex, Eng..1 2 Richard's father was Richard Pearse and his mother was Martha Pearce. His paternal grandparents were Pierce Pers and Marguerite Coney. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Michael J. Captain, William, John, Samuel, Hannah, Martha, Sarah and Mary. He was the oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 62 on April 22nd, 1677 in Portsmouth, Newport, RI. He was buried on October 28th, 1678 in Will Proved In Portsmouth, Newport, RI.2 1 -
