Thomas de Berkeley was born in 1245 in Berkley Castle, Gloucester, England.1 Thomas de Berkeley's father was Maurice de Berkeley Lord Berkeley and his mother was Isabel FitzRichard. His paternal grandparents were Thomas "The Observer" FitzHarding de Berkeley and Joan de Somery; his maternal grandparents were Richard FitzJohn of Dover Baron Chilham and Rohese de Dover. He was an only child. He died at the age of 76 on July 23rd, 1321 in Berkley Castle, Gloucester, England.1 -
