William Galland 
William was born in 1840 in Lee, Lee, IA.1 William's father was David Galland and his mother was Druzilla Dragoo. His paternal grandparents were Abel Galland and Amy Furby; his maternal grandfather was John Ephraim Dragoo. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Benjamin, William Wallace, Andrew Jackson, John Clinton, Andrew Jackson, Fanny, Amie and Perthenia Eveline. He was the third oldest of the nine children.-
