David Galland 
David was born in 1809 in Zanesville, Muskingum, OH.1 David's father was Abel Galland and his mother was Amy Furby. His paternal grandparents were Matthew Galland and Hannah Fenno. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Benjamin Furby, William M, Polly, Maria Ann and Hannah. He was the oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 43 in 1852 in , Pottawattomie, IA.1
