William de Bohun was born in 1312 in of Caldecot, Northampton, England.1   William de Bohun's father was Humphry de Bohun VIII Earl of Hereford & Essex and his mother was Elizabeth Plantagenet.  His paternal grandparents were Humphry de Bohun VII Earl of Hereford & Essex and Maud de Fiennes; his maternal grandparents were Edward I Plantagenet and Alianore de Castille Cts de Ponthieu. He had three sisters named Alianor, Margaret and Aeneas (Agnes).  He was the second youngest of the four children.  He died at the age of 48 on September 16th, 1360 in Walden Abbey, Essex, England.1
