Ward Cotton

Ward was born in 1711 in Sandwich, Barnstable, MA.¹ Ward's father was Roland Cotton and his mother was Elizabeth Saltonstall. His paternal grandparents were John Cotton and Jane Bray Rossiter; his maternal grandparents were Nathaniel Saltonstall and Elizabeth Ward. He had four brothers and six sisters, named John, Nathaniel, Roland, Josiah, Joanna, Elizabeth, Sarah, Abigail, Maria and Ruth. He had a half-brother named John. He died at the age of 57 in 1768 in Plymouth Colony, MA.¹
