John Cotton

John was born in 1693.¹ John's father was Roland Cotton and his mother was Elizabeth Saltonstall. His paternal grandparents were John Cotton and Jane Bray Rossiter; his maternal grandparents were Nathaniel Saltonstall and Elizabeth Ward. He had four brothers and six sisters, named Nathaniel, Roland, Josiah, Ward, Joanna, Elizabeth, Sarah, Abigail, Maria and Ruth. He had a half-brother named John. He died at the age of 64 in 1757 in Newton, Middlesex, MA.¹
