John was born in Plymouth Colony, MA.1 John's father was John Cotton and his mother was Sarah Hawkrit Story. His paternal grandparents were Roland Cotton and Mary Hurlbert; his maternal grandparents were Anthony Hawkridge and Isabel Dowse. He had a brother and a sister, named Seaborn and Maria. He died on September 18th, 1699 in Charleston, Charleston, SC.1 -
