John Cathey

John was born about 1709 in Ulster, Monaghan, Ireland.  John's father was James Cathey and his mother was Ann Unknown.  His paternal grandfather was Unknown Cathey. He had three brothers and three sisters, named William, Andrew, George, Elizabeth, Margaret and Ann.  He was the oldest of the seven children.  He died on January 29th, 1764 in , Rowan, NC.
