Ruth Ann was born on September 24th, 1825 in , Madison, OH.1 Ruth Ann's father was Ephraim Cary and her mother was Matilda Gandy. Her paternal grandparents were Luther Cary and Rhoda Leonard; her maternal grandparents were Henry Harris Gandy and Tamson Garrison. She had three brothers and three sisters, named George W, Stephen, Henry Harris, Rhoda, Tamson and Malinda Elliot. She was the second oldest of the seven children. She died at the age of 81 on March 13th, 1907 in Sycamore, DeKalb, IL. She was buried in 1907 in Ohio Grove Cemetery, Cortland, IL.1 1 -
