John Cary 
John was born in 1717 in Windham, Windham, CT.1 John's father was John Cary and his mother was Hannah Thurston. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Cary and Mercy Bushnell; his maternal grandparents were John Thurston and Hannah Cary. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Benajah, Joseph, William, Jonathan, Nathaniel, Samuel, Phebe and Mercy. He was the oldest of the nine children.-
