Sease Services To Be Announced

PROSPERITY - Funeral services for Capt. John Carlton Sease (USN, ret.)
will be announced by Whitaker Funeral Home.

Captain Seae, 65, died yesterday in Newberry Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Prosperity, a son of the late John Adam and Aurelia
Stoudemire Seae. He was a 1930 graduate of Clemson Univeristy and did
post-graduate work at the Naval War College in Newport, R.I.

Before entering the Navy he worked with the S.C. Highway Department and
the U.S. Navy Yard in Charleston prior to World War II. His naval
service was in the civil engineer corps.

He received several citations for his work both during and after World
War II.

Captain Sease was a Mason for more than 30 years, a member of Prosperity
Lodge 115 and a member of the Retired Officers Association.

He was married to the late Margaret Lindler of Mt. Holley who died in
1959.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Louis Schonfeld of New York City; a son,
John C. Sease Jr. of Portland, Ore.; two sisters, Miss Grace Sease of
Prosperity and Mrs. Herman (Mary) Richardson of Columbia; two brothers,
Ralph E. Sease of Dunnellon, Fla., and Lt. Col. George A. Sease of
Hartsville; and a granddaughter.

Memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Church.

Capt. John Sease of Prosperity Dies

Prosperity - Capt. John Carlton Sease (U.S. Navy-Ret.), 65, died Sunday
