Harold de Ewias, son and heir of Ralph of Dreux, earl of Herefor d, and Goda, sister of Edward the Confessor. Minor at the date o f Domesday, when his lands were in the custody of Alfred of Marl borough, he took possession of them soon thereafter. Founded th e priory of Ewyas Harold in 1100 (Mon. Ang. i 546). He was succe eded by his son Robert sometime after 1100 (Sanders, 85). See D .
