Mary's father was Joseph Wesley Wessinger and her mother was Martha Anna (Detch) Sease. Her maternal grandparents were Andrew Noah Sease and Angela Catherine Epting. She had three brothers and four sisters, named J.Earl, Henry Cecil, Charles Wesley, Ruth, Eloise, Katie and Annie.-
