Betty Summer 
Betty was born in 1925.1 Betty's father was Leland S. Summer and her mother was Lottie Summer. Her paternal grandparents were James Rufus Summer and Ava Ella Sease. She had three brothers and a sister, named James B., James B., Leland B. and Nancy. She died at the age of 71 on May 1st, 1996 in Maryville, Tennessee.1 General Notes

held Friday, 3 pm at St. Stephens Lutheran Church in Lexington. In lieu

Mrs. Martin died May l (1996). She was a daughter of Leland Summer of
Chapin and the late Lottie Summer. She was the widow of Robert M. Martin
Sr.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Carol Martin of
Maryville, Tenn; son, Jesse Martin of Maryville, Tenn.; daughters, Pat
and Elizabeth Martin of Melbourne, Australia; brothers, Leland B. Summer
Sr of West Columbia, and James B. Summer Sr. of Chapin; sister, Nancy S.
Mack of Monroe, N.C.; grandchildren; Rebecca and maria Martin, Louisa and
Ellen Clarke, and Chris and Carolina Evans.
