Jane was born about 1854.1 Jane's father was Mark Walter Shealy and her mother was Missouri Fulmer. Her paternal grandparents were John Ventle Shealy and Eva Margaret Sease. She had a sister named Laura A.. She was the younger of the two children. She had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Preston Sanders, Walter Killian and Alice Josephine.-
