Joseph Horace Sease 
Joseph Horace was born on August 4th, 1902 in Prosperity, South Carolina.1 Joseph Horace's father was James Hammond Sease and his mother was Atline Haddena (Dessie) Epting. His paternal grandparents were John Leonard (Lyn) Sease and Martha Elizabeth Fike. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Iven Christopher, John Olin, Cyril Iredel, James Leonard, Bryan Thomas, Allison Winford, Rosabelle Mae and Caroline Florence. He was the youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 93 on February 15th, 1996 in Chapin, South Carolina. He was buried on February 18th, 1996 in Mt. Jake Sease
Chapin - Services for Joseph "Jake" H. Sease, 93, of 125 Court Land Road
will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Mount Horeb Lutheran Church, with burial
in the church cemetery. Mr. Sease will be placed in the church from 2:30
to 3 p.m. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 tonight at Caughman-Harman
Funeral Home, Chapin Chapel. Memorials may be made to the church memorial
fund.
Mr. Sease, widower of Pheobe Shealy Sease, died Thursday, Feb. 15, 1996.
Born in Prosperity, he was a son of the late James H. and Florence Eargle
Sease. He retired from South Carolina Electric and Gas and was a member
of Mount Horeb Lutheran Church.
Surviving are sons, David H. Sease of Newberry and Heyward Sease of
Chapin; daughters, Martha Amick of Chapin and Carolyn Hunt of Chapin; 15
grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
