Ducie Evelyn was born on August 10th, 1909.1 Ducie Evelyn's father was Newton Arthur Nichols and her mother was Martha Malverta (Mallie) Sease. Her maternal grandparents were John Irby Sease and Jane Ella Koon. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Julian Emmett (Nick), Cecil Evans, John Sampson, Frank Arthur, Ruby Irene, Sadie Amelia and Dorothy Jane. She was the fourth oldest of the eight children.-
