Colie Edgar was born on May 18th, 1926.1 Colie Edgar's father was Virgil O'Neal Lindler and his mother was Anna Miller. His paternal grandparents were William Joshua Lindler and Frances Victoria Boland. He had seven brothers and a sister, named Grady O'Neal, Emanuel, Berley Cromer, Miller Luther, Lawrence Alonzo, James Virgil, Arthur Clinton and Clara Robeta.
