Susan Malinda was born on January 23rd, 1832 in Deadwood, Panola County, Texas.1 Susan Malinda's father was Jacob LaGrone and her mother was Catherine (Kate) Riser. Her maternal grandparents were Martin Riser and Christina Sease. She had six brothers and four sisters, named Jacob, Emannuel, Martin, Daniel, George Washington, Jackson, Eva Christine, Martha, Elizabeth (Betty) and Mary Frances (Frankie). She was the youngest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 28 on April 10th, 1860 in Texas?.1 General Notes
