Catherine (Kate) Riser 
Catherine (Kate) was born in 1790 in Newberry County, South Carolina.1 Catherine (Kate)'s father was Martin Riser and her mother was Christina Sease. Her maternal grandparents were Christopher Sease and Susannah Anhaus. She had two brothers and three sisters, named John, Martin, Nancy Elizabeth (Lizzie), Eva and Christina. She was the third oldest of the six children. She died at the age of 70 on January 4th, 1860 in Longview, Gregg County, Texas. She was buried in LaGrone Cemetery, Harrison County, Texas.1 1 -
