Ruth Huffstetler 
Ruth was born about 1905 in Pine Ridge Area, Newberry County, South Carolina.1 Ruth's father was William Huffstetler and her mother was Catherine Shealy. Her maternal grandparents were Joshua Shealy and Mary Ann "Martha" Ballentine. She had eight brothers and two sisters, named Arthur Milton, Adgy L., Elbert, Lloyd, Loyd, Ollie, W. Rayford, Harvey, Thelma and Pearl. She died on July 2nd, 2000. She was buried on July 4th, 2000 in Mt. Horeb Lutheran Church Cemetery, Chapin, SC.1 1 General Notes

Ruth Slice
Chapin -- Services for Ruth Huffstetler Slice, 95, will be ehdl at 11
a.m. Tuesday, July 4, 2000, at Mount Horeb Lutheran Church, Chapin, with
burial in the church cemetery. Officiating will be Pastor Richard E.
Webber. The family will receive friends 6-8 this evening at
Caughman-Harman Funeral Homes, Chapin Chapel. Memorials may be made to
Mount Horeb Lutheran Church, Chapin.
Mrs. Slice, wife of the late M. Ansel Slice, died Sunday, July 2, 2000.
Born in Lexington Co., she was the daughter of the late William David and
Cedecia Shealy Huffstetler. She was a member of Mount Horeb Lutheran
Church, Chapin.
Surviving are her daughter, Janelle Turner-Barrett of West Columbia with
whom she has made her home for the past eight years; son, Robert A. Slice
of West Columbia; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
