Lloyd was born in Pine Ridge Area, Newberry County, South Carolina.1 Lloyd's father was William Huffstetler and his mother was Catherine Shealy. His maternal grandparents were Joshua Shealy and Mary Ann "Martha" Ballentine. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named Arthur Milton, Adgy L., Elbert, Loyd, Ollie, W. Rayford, Harvey, Ruth, Thelma and Pearl.1 -
