Burwell Griggs 
Burwell was born in 1768 in Dinwiddie County, Virginia. Burwell's father was Jesse Grigg and his mother was Nancy Webb. His paternal grandparents were Abner Grigg and Mary Ford. He had seven brothers and two sisters, named Bannister, Lewis, Abner, Burwell, William Grigg, Frederick, Woodford, Francis and Betsy. He had a half-brother and five half-sisters, named Joel, Polly, Prissy, Sarah, Fannie and Elizabeth R.. He died at the age of 69 in 1837 in Bond County, Ill.. He was buried in 1837 in Hastings Cemetery, Bond County, Illinois.General Notes
