William Troy was born on February 4th, 1872.1   William Troy's father was William Troy Gibson and his mother was Susan Sparrow.  His paternal grandparents were Nelson Kinsey Gibson and Sarah Rachel Thomas. He had a brother and four sisters, named Edwin Lee, Ella Jane, Margaret Irene, Mamie and Sue.  He was the oldest of the six children.  He died at the age of 30 on July 1st, 1902 in Hartsville, South Carolina.1
