Margaret Irene was born on December 11th, 1879 in Darlington County, S.C..1   Margaret Irene's father was William Troy Gibson and her mother was Susan Sparrow.  Her paternal grandparents were Nelson Kinsey Gibson and Sarah Rachel Thomas. She had two brothers and three sisters, named William Troy, Edwin Lee, Ella Jane, Mamie and Sue.  She was the third oldest of the six children.  She died at the age of 80 on August 29th, 1960 in Darlington, South Carolina.1
