Waleran de Beaumont was born in 1104 in of Meulan, Ile De France, France.1 Waleran de Beaumont's father was Robert de Beaumont de Meulan Earl of Leicester and his mother was Isabella Capet de Crépi de Vermandois. His paternal grandparents were Roger de Beaumont Earl of Meulan and Adeline de Meulan Cts of Meulan; his maternal grandparents were Hugh Magnus de Crépi Mar of Orléans and Adelar de Vermandois Cts of Vermandois. He had a brother and two sisters, named Robert "Bossu" de Beaumont II, Isabella and Adeline. He was the second youngest of the four children. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named William de Warenne III, Gundrada and Adelaide (Ada). He died at the age of 62 on April 10th, 1166 in Abbey, Preaux, Normandy, France.1 General Notes
