Floris I de Holland was born in 1017 in of Vlaardingen, Zuid Holland, the Netherlands.1 Floris I de Holland's father was Dirk III de Holland Ct of Holland and his mother was Ulfhilde of Germany. His paternal grandparents were Arnulf de Holland Ct of Holland and Luitgarde de Cleves Cts of Luxemburg; his maternal grandparents were Otho de Franconia King of Germany and Judith (Adela) (of Saxony). He was an only child. He died at the age of 44 on June 28th, 1061 in Nederhemert, Gelderland, Netherlands.1 General Notes
