Fred's father was Toland Craps and his mother was Adriann Adora Sease. His maternal grandparents were Elias Starling Sease and Ella Jane Lewis. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Dawson, Horace, Lever, Rafred, Refo, Rufus, Betha, Grovie and Lala (Lola?).
