Oliver Perry was born on January 8th, 1834.1 Oliver Perry's father was William McMillan Chitty and his mother was Mary Beard Sease. His maternal grandparents were Leonard Sease and Katherine E. Rizer. He had seven brothers and six sisters, named Allen, James Leonard, Michael Seas, Miles McMillian, Henry Daniel, Lewellwn D, Leonard S, Sarah Ann Catherine, Mahala Louisa, Catherine, Louisa, Mary E and Rebecca.-
