Gertie Bundrick
White Rock - Services for Gertie B. Bundrick, 93, of 14A Champion Court,
Lowman Home, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Reformation Lutheran
Church in Columbia, conducted by Reverend Ozzie Herlong, with burial in
Elmwood Cemetery and Gardens. Pallbearers will be Danny Shull, Wade
Shull, Melton Bundrick, Randy Bundrick, Kevin Bundrick, Glenn Beard, and
Harold Beard. Memorials may be made to Reformation Lutheran Church, 1118
Union Street, Columbia, or to the Lowman Home, White Rock. Visitation
will be from 6-8 tonight at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington.
Mrs. Bundrick, widow of Lonnie Lee Bundrick, died Saturday, Nov. 20,
1999. Born in Little Mountain, she was a daughter of the late Bright Lee
and Lillie Ann Boland Bowers. She was a member of Reformation Lutheran
Church and the Swing Band. She was retired from Richland Memorial
Hospital. She was predeceased by her brotehrs, Cecil H. Bowers, Jimmy
Lee Bowers, and Harold M. Bowers; her sister, Evelyn B. Dukes, and
sister-in-law, Edith Bowers.
Surviving are her daughters and son-in-law, Aileen Beard of Mt. Dora,
Fla., Mildred and Edward Q. Shull of Lexington; son and daughter-in-law,
Everett and Kay M. Bundrick of Chapin; sister, Virginia B. Koffman of New
Smyrna Beach, Fla.; sisters-in-law, Adele Bowers of Spartanburg, Ruth
Bowers of Gilbert, Lucille Bowers of Anderson; brother-in-law, Bill Dukes
Sr. of Chapin; 12 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren; two
great-great-grandchildren.
