Lola's father was Daniel Calhoun Boland and her mother was Catherine Christina Caroline Meetz. Her paternal grandparents were Ozro Boland and Anna Levena Koon. She had four brothers and seven sisters, named Marion Quincy, Jacob Early, Irvin B., Dewitt Charles, Carrie Floyd, Mary Alma, Essie Owens, Emma, Eula, Eunice Mae and Angie. She had a half-sister named Erie Angie.-
