John Cecil (Ike) was born on October 28th, 1912.1 John Cecil (Ike)'s father was William Quincey Boland and his mother was Corrie Elle Bowers. His paternal grandparents were John Adam Boland and Sarah Elizabeth Unknown. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Howard Henry, Arthur Reynold (Bill), Sam Pat, Annie Belle, Mattie Marie and Clara Lucie. He was the third youngest of the seven children.-
