John Adam Boland 
John Adam was born on December 12th, 1848 in Little Mountain, South Carolina.1 John Adam's father was John Adam Boland and his mother was Annie Hipp. His paternal grandparents were Abram Boland and Eva Christina Sease. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Jonas Benson, Warn Preston, Andrew Pickens, Susanna, Mary Ann Elvira, Lenorah Cummings and Nora. He died at the age of 94 on December 16th, 1942 in Little Mountain, South Carolina. He was buried in Mt. Tabor Lutheran Cemetery, Little Mountain, South Carolina.1 1 General Notes

Information on the descendants of John Adam Boland, Jr. were provided by
his grand son, John Cecil "Ike" Boland, (personal conversation with DW
Whitaker) on June 20, 1998. He told me where some of the members were
buried so that I could get the dates off of their grave markers.
