James Luther was born on August 21st, 1922 in Newberry County, SC.1 James Luther's father was J. L. Nedward (Ned) Boland and his mother was Bess Bickley. His paternal grandparents were Patrick Boland and Claton Alice Bowers. He had a brother and a sister, named Joe H. and Eva Mae. He died at the age of 50 on March 28th, 1973. He was buried in Newberry Memorial Gardens, Newberry, South Carolina.1 1 -
