Augustus Boland Sr.
Springfield - Graveside services for Augustus M. Boland Sr., 75, will be
held at 3 p.m. today, January 6, 2000 in The Springfield Cemetery, with
the Rev. Julius Hadden Jr. officiating. Folk Funeral Home, Williston is
in charge. Memorials may be made to Springfield United Methodist Church,
Springfield.
Mr. Boland died Wednesday, January 5, 2000 at Baptist Hospital in
Columbia. Born in Springfield, he was a son of the late Hubert Boland
Sr. and Maud Massedeau Boland. He was a member of Springfield United
Methodist Church, Springfield. Mr. Boland was a retired Pharmacist,
having worked for Edisto Drug Co. in Springfield. He was a US Army Air
Corps veteran of World War II and a member of the Dean Swamp Masonic
Lodge #172. He was married to the late Lillian Boatwright Boland.
Surviving are a daughter, Louise B. Ross of Bamberg; sons, Dr. Augustus
M. Boland Jr. of Barnwell and Robert T. Boland of Manning; brother, H.T.
Boland of Columbia; sesven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
