William Carmichael Spencer 
William Carmichael was born in May 1834 in Centerville, Queen Anne Co., MD. William Carmichael's father was William Alexander Spencer and his mother was Catherine Murray Carmichael. His paternal grandparents were Isaac Spencer and Elizabeth Thompson; his maternal grandparents were William Carmichael and Sarah Downes. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Julian Murray, Charles McGill, Thomas, Catherine Carmichael, Sarah Elizabeth, Elizabeth Murray and Lottie. He was the oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 58 on April 5th, 1893 in Baltimore, MD.-
