Charles McGill Spencer 
Charles McGill was born on May 15th, 1844 in Centerville, Queen Anne Co., MD. Charles McGill's father was William Alexander Spencer and his mother was Catherine Murray Carmichael. His paternal grandparents were Isaac Spencer and Elizabeth Thompson; his maternal grandparents were William Carmichael and Sarah Downes. He had three brothers and four sisters, named William Carmichael, Julian Murray, Thomas, Catherine Carmichael, Sarah Elizabeth, Elizabeth Murray and Lottie. He was the third youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 43 on September 20th, 1887 in "Athol", The Plains, Fauquier Co., VA.-
