Nicholas Alexandrovich Romanov

Nicholas Alexandrovich was born on September 8th, 1843.  Nicholas Alexandrovich's father was Alexander II Nicholoevich Romanov and his mother was Marie von Hess-Darmstadt.  His paternal grandparents were Nikolai I Pavlovich Romanov and Alexandra (Charlotte) Hohenzollern. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Alexander III Alexandrovich, Vladimir Alexandrovich, Alexis Alexandrovich, Serge Alexandrovich, Paul Alexandrovich, Alexandra Alexandrovna and Marie Alexandrovna.  He was the second oldest of the eight children. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named George, Olga Yourievsky and Catherine.
