Mary was born about 1798 in NC. Mary's father was Mathew J. Pryor and her mother was Mary Neeley. Her paternal grandparents were Green Pryor and Elizabeth Perkins; her maternal grandparents were William Neeley and Eleanor ?. She had seven brothers named Mathew J., William, Green Hill, Phillip, Samuel, John Henry and Seth. She was the second youngest of the eight children.-
