John Lewis Pendleton 
John Lewis was born in 1790. John Lewis' father was John Pendleton and his mother was Anne Lewis. His paternal grandparents were Edmund Pendleton and Mildred Pollard; his maternal grandfather was John Lewis. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named Edmund Allen, William Armistead, William Armistead, Charles Lewis, Robert Taylor, Benjamin Franklin, Nathaniel Philip Henry, Elizabeth Allen, Mary Anne and Eveline Mildred. He was the oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 79 in 1869.-
