Walter Ligon Payne 
Walter Ligon was born on April 7th, 1856. Walter Ligon's father was Walter Tazewell Payne and his mother was Elizabeth Kimborough Ligon. His paternal grandparents were John Smith Payne and Susan Elwood Scott; his maternal grandparents were Littleberry Netherland Ligon and Elizabeth Kimborough. He had a brother and three sisters, named Robert Withers, Rosa Kimbrough, Susan Scott and Nellie. He was the second oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 62 on August 14th, 1918.-
