Edward Payne 
Edward was born about 1693 in Westmoreland Co., VA. Edward's father was William Payne and his mother was Elizabeth Pope. His paternal grandparents were John Payne and Margaret Robbinson; his maternal grandparents were Humphrey Pope and Elizabeth Hawkins. He had a brother and two sisters, named William, Elizabeth and Mary. He had four half-brothers and six half-sisters, named Daniel, Dennis, Thaddeus, Billington, Anne, ?, Anna Barbara, Katherine, Sarah and Winifred. He died in 1702.-
