Alfred Jefferson Lewis 
Alfred Jefferson was born on September 29th, 1808 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Alfred Jefferson's father was Joshua Lewis and his mother was America Lawson. His maternal grandparents were Robert Lawson and Sarah Meriwether Pierce. He had eight brothers and three sisters, named John Lawson, Theodore, Stephen, John Hampden, Algernon Sidney, George Washington, Columbus Lawson, Benjamin Franklin, Sidonia Pierce, Louise Maria and Eliza C.. He was the sixth youngest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 32 on October 23rd, 1840 in New Orleans, Louisiana.-
