George Washington Custis Lee

George Washington Custis was born on September 16th, 1832 in Fortress Monroe. George Washington Custis' father was Robert Edward Lee and his mother was Mary Ann Randolph Custis. His paternal grandparents were Henry Lee and Anne Hill Carter; his maternal grandparents were George Washington Parke Custis and Mary Ann Randolph Fitzhugh. He had two brothers and four sisters, named William Henry Fitzhugh, Robert Edward, Mary, Agnes, ? and Mildred Childe. He was the oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 80 on February 18th, 1913 in "Ravensworth", Fairfax Co., VA. He was buried in Lee Chapel, W&L Univ., Lexington, VA.
