Walter Lewis Lawrence 
Walter Lewis was born on August 21st, 1870 in Hanover Co., VA. Walter Lewis' father was William Quarles Lawrence and his mother was Mary Etta Woodson. His paternal grandparents were Lewis Lawrence and Sarah A. Terrell; his maternal grandparents were John Peter Woodson and Evelina Britton. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Abbott Alpheus, John William, James Quarles, Bernard Ashby, Infant, Mary Lewis, Alphra Mildred and Etta Woodson. He was the second youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 84 on April 2nd, 1955.-
